–Our Founders–

Our Founder Jendayi Stafford, from Stafford County, Virginia, saw a need within the community to help veterans link up with current services offered on Whidbey Island. She also wanted to fill the gap for areas that there was no current help available for veterans. Stafford states, “I was one of those veterans who struggled for help when I got medically retired out of the Navy in 2014 after 6 years. We are excited for this opportunity to compile resources and to help veterans with a variety of services.”

Our co-founder Gary Strong, from Memphis, Tennessee, during his 10 years in the Navy also saw this need. He realized there was not a lot of assistance for veterans who were coming out of the military, like mentorship and life coaching. Strong finished out his time in the Navy pursing a degree in Human Resources. He hopes that this degree will help veterans make their transition smoother. Strong states, “I represent those service members who don’t want to commit to 20 years in the military. I want to set the example that there are opportunities for success as a civilian.”
